THE WOMEN’S ministry of Abundant Life involves scheduled times together and many opportunities for service. Every other week prayer time is held in the homes of the ladies involved. Ladies on the prayer chain call each other for prayer needs that arise both inside and outside our church family. The women help teach and serve in nursery through adult classes. Some of the women open up their homes, operating in the gift of hospitality.

In practical ministry we cook and serve meals for funerals, work days at the church, community events, and for those who are sick. We host showers for weddings and new babies. We plan and prepare special events such as the sweetheart banquet, fall harvest party, progressive dinners, children’s programs, birthday outings to other towns, breakfast/video teaching days, silent auction fundraisers, BBQ’s, and many other fellowship events.We serve corporately, in small groups, and individually.

In all these ways we strive to lift up Jesus and be led by the Holy Spirit as we minister to the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs that arise. Our purpose is to embody and find balance between Mary and Martha. We serve practically, but we also take time to sit at Jesus’ feet and grow in Him.
